Begun in 1847 as a simple livestock fair, the Feria De Sevilla has grown into the huge event of today: a week of festivities, carriage rides and parades. The emphasis on traditional dress that continues today is captured well in this poster.
Printed in 1960 for the 1961 event, the poster is in reasonable condition. Two small tape marks along the right vertical edge and a small tear along the upper horizontal (stabilised on rear side with light archival tape) are the only wear of the last 60 years. The colours remain rich and vibrant in this striking poster for one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain.
