International Textile Exhibition
Title: International Textile Exhibition
Artist: Paul Colin
Size (cm): 24×32 [including the mount: 38x48cm]
Country of origin: France
Colin's, famous for the challenging but innovative artwork for the “Revue Nègre” and Josephine Baker in the mid 1920's, is regarded as one of the masters of modern French graphic art. This image, to promote the 1951 International Textile Expo held in Lille, displays Colin's highly individual blend of modernist and art deco styles. It is a very striking image.
This is a small image already set in a card mount and most probably from a contemporary magazine. The image is in good condition and only requires framing.
