The poster is one of a series produced in the early 1950s for Sabena, featuring folk or ceremonial costumes from various destinations within the Sabena network. This is one of the best, depicting the a member of the senior regiment of the British Army on parade.

Simple, bold & striking, Sabena’s “Vers London” poster combines a retro appeal (note the silhouettes of the propeller powered planes) with an excellent image of one of HM’s Life Guards from the Household Division on parade. The use of blocks of colour is highly effective.

The poster is in very good condition. Very small pin holes exist in each corner but they are exceptionally hard to see. Some very small nicks and tears exist along the upper edge, have been stabilised on the reverse with very light archival tape. Although the poster has been displayed at sometime in the past, the colours remain bright & retain their depth. They are visible through the paper on the rear side – always a good sign. This is an excellent poster.
