An extremely rare poster – the print would have been tiny and the passage of time heavy, but this charming poster from Hackney, London survives, suggesting a greater sense of community and social cohesion than we perhaps experience today.
The poster has two small tears, stabilised on the reverse by light archival tape. Small nicks and tears, consistent with age, are visible on the edges. Surface dirt along upper right edge. The poster is unbacked.
