A rare poster and a wonderful example of 1950’s mid-century modern design for the picturesque fishing village of Nazare, by acclaimed artist Gustavo Fontoura. Situated north of Lisbon and famous for its sandy beaches, the village has long been a draw for sun seeking tourists, and laterly, for wave seeking surfers.
The poster is in good condition, complete and free from loss. There is one small stain on the rear of the poster which has bled through (in one of the suns’s rays) but is hardly noticeable.
