A large format aircraft recognition poster showing the Swift Mk 5, developed for the fighter/reconnaissance role. This was the last version of the Swift as they were replaced by the more capable Hawker Hunter, dropping out of RAF service by 1961.
This poster was designed for display within the confines of RAF stations – very few survive today, particularly of this very iconic aircraft. This is exceedingly rare.
The poster has a central fold and shows its age (see images) with nicks, creases and small edge tears stabilised on the reverse with light, archival tape.
