A large format aircraft recognition poster showing the amazing the Wessex Mk 1 helicopter, produced for Royal Navy anti-submarine duties but quickly adopted by the RAF for troop and supply transport. The Wessex had a service life of 40 years within the British armed forces.
This poster was designed for display with limited circulation – very few survive today.
The poster has a central fold and shows its age (see images) with nicks, creases and small edge tears stabilised on the reverse with light, archival tape.
