A large format aircraft recognition poster showing the Hawker Hunter, the principle fighter/interceptor of the RAF during the early 1950s. The Hunter was in service with several air forces around the world for over 60 years, performing well in combat on numerous occasions.
This poster was designed for display within the confines of RAF stations – very few survive today, particularly of this very iconic aircraft. This is exceedingly rare.
The poster has a central fold and shows its age (see images) with nicks, creases and small edge tears stabilised on the reverse with light, archival tape.
